A man was arrested and charged after a brawl on an Alabama riverboat involving a chair.
A video showing a man hitting people with a folding chair during a fight by the river in Montgomery, Alabama, has been arrested.
Reggie Ray turned himself in to the Montgomery Police Department on Friday, the department said. He’s been charged with being a troublemaker and is currently being held in the Municipal Jail.
We got hold of the mug shot of the 42-year-old, and he appears unhappy about the consequences of his actions in the big fight.
Ray is the fifth person who has been arrested for the brawl. Just to remind you, Chief of Police Darryl Albert had previously identified Reggie as the Black man who was famously swinging a chair on the dock and hitting several people on the head.
Ray joined the situation later, after a group of men from a pontoon boat prevented a passenger ferry from docking. They confronted the co-captain of the ferry, which led to a large fight that was divided along racial lines.
Four other individuals have been arrested. They are Allen Todd, 23, and Zachary Shipman, 25. They voluntarily surrendered themselves on Wednesday. Both of them are facing one charge each of 3rd degree assault.
Richard Roberts, who is 48 years old, was the first person to be arrested. He is being accused of punching a 16-year-old dockhand.
Next, we have Mary Todd, who is 21 years old. She surrendered herself on Thursday. Mary is facing charges of third-degree assault. This charge is related to an incident where she allegedly attacked the co-captain of the ferry.
